Intercoiffure Australia leaders awarded Commander and Knight Status at Gala in St Tropez

Jas Jhally President and Terrina Brown National Fashion Director of Intercoiffure Australia were honoured for the work they contributed to the Australian section at a three-day Intercoiffure Mondial Conference in Saint Tropez in July.

The prestigious honour of Commander of the Legion of Honour l’Ordre de la Chevalerie (already a Knight who has made a significant contribution for a further 3 years or more) went to Jas Jhally of Jas International, and Knight status (giving exceptional service for a minimum of three years) was bestowed upon Terrina Brown of Zedz Hair and Beauty, both located in Perth, Western Australia.  

Making the ceremony even more special was that Grand Cross holder (the highest Intercoiffure honour) and Chancellor, Australian June Wilde presented the honours.

 “Intercoiffure is an important and long-standing organisation of fellowship, craftsmanship and international exchange and I am so proud to be involved at this level,” Jas Jhally said.  “It is a remarkable distinction to be made Commander de l’Ordre de la Chevalerie”. 

Terrina Brown also said that it was a true honour to have many years of voluntary hard work recognised by Intercoiffure.

 “It’s a wonderful organisation that develops hairdressing both here in Australia and globally through friendship and the exchange of ideas.”

The conference saw over 400 Intercoiffure members participate from 17 countries.  After the ceremony the Intercoiffure community partied under the full moon at the Beach Club Moorea at Pampelonne beach.

The 2024 conference will be held in Spain and a big celebration is set for 2025 when Intercoiffure Mondial  celebrates its’ centenary in Hamburg.
